Firefly Anything Tech ("Firefly," "we," "us," or "our") provides home and business technology services in the Middle Tennessee area, including TV mounting, Wi-Fi and networking, computer help, smart home, audio/visual, and security cameras. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to fireflyanythingtech.com, our phone and text lines, our online booking and chat, and the services we provide in person.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address, and service or billing address.
- Job details: what you need done, the equipment involved, notes about your home or business, appointment times, and any photos or videos you send us or that we take of the work area or the finished job.
- Payment and billing information: invoices, payment amounts, and payment method details. Card payments are handled by our payment processors, and we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Communications: calls, voicemails, texts, emails, and chat messages with us. Calls may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training, and record-keeping. Where the law requires it, we will tell you at the start of the call.
- Reviews and feedback you choose to share with us.
Where it comes from:
- Directly from you: by phone, text, email, our website's booking and chat tools, or in person.
- Lead and booking platforms: if you contact us through Thumbtack, Angi, or Bark, that platform sends us the details you gave it (usually your name, contact info, location, and project description) so we can respond.
- Automatically from our website: basic technical information such as your browser type, device, pages viewed, and general location based on IP address. See Section 7.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to requests and give you quotes and estimates.
- Schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments, and let you know when we're on the way.
- Perform the service, troubleshoot, and follow up on warranty or guarantee issues.
- Send invoices, take payments, and keep business and tax records.
- Ask how we did and request a review after a job.
- Send occasional offers, promotions, and seasonal reminders, only if you've agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time (see Sections 3 and 4).
- Improve our services and website, and keep our systems secure.
- Comply with the law and protect our rights.
3. Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your appointments, estimates, invoices, service updates, and review requests. If you separately opt in to marketing texts, we may also text you about offers and promotions.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We'll send one confirmation and then stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the info in Section 14.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
- We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver our messages (such as our phone/texting provider), who may only use it for that purpose.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Email
We email quotes, invoices, appointment details, and receipts. If you agree to marketing email, we may also send occasional offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at Team@FireflyAnythingTech.com. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send emails about your jobs and invoices.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We also don't share it for others' targeted advertising.
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that work for us under agreements to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us, including:
- Housecall Pro: scheduling, online booking and chat, estimates, invoicing, payments, and customer records.
- Dialpad: business phone calls, voicemail, call recording/transcription, and texting.
- QuickBooks Online (Intuit): accounting and bookkeeping.
- Google Workspace: email, calendar, and document storage.
- Our website hosting and website tools: hosting, the website builder, and embedded widgets such as reviews displays.
- Payment processors: to process card and other payments.
- Our team members and subcontracted technicians, who need your address and job details to do the work.
- Lead platforms: if you found us through Thumbtack, Angi, or Bark, we may update that platform on the status of your request (for example, that we've responded or booked the job), as their service requires. Those platforms collect and use your information under their own privacy policies, not this one. We encourage you to review them.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with the law, a court order, or a government request, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our team, or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who will be bound by this policy for that information.
6. Reviews
After a job, we may ask you to leave a review on Google, Thumbtack, or another site. Leaving a review is always optional. Reviews you post on third-party sites are public and governed by those sites' policies. We may display public reviews, with your first name or initials, on our website and marketing.
7. Cookies, analytics, and website tools
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that the site needs to work, and our embedded tools may set their own. These tools include online booking, the chat bubble, and the reviews display. Our web host may also collect basic performance data to keep the site running well.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run only after you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline, both stay off. You can change your choice anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. We use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website through heatmaps and session replays, so we can improve it. Clarity uses cookies and similar technology to collect usage data such as clicks, scrolling and device information. We mask form entries and do not use this data to identify you. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as online booking or chat, may not work without them.
8. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we reasonably need it:
- Customer and job records (contact details, job notes, photos): for as long as you're a customer and for a reasonable time afterward, so we can support warranty and guarantee claims and future service.
- Invoices, payments, and other financial records: generally 7 years, consistent with common tax and accounting practice.
- Leads that don't become jobs: for a reasonable period, generally no more than a few years.
- Call recordings and transcripts: for as long as our phone provider's retention settings keep them.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, such as access limited to team members who need it, password-protected business accounts, and reputable service providers with their own security programs. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Tennessee law.
10. Children's privacy
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to:
- Access the personal information we have about you.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your information, subject to records we must keep for legal, tax, or warranty reasons.
- Stop marketing texts or emails (reply STOP, use the unsubscribe link, or contact us).
Tennessee residents: The Tennessee Information Protection Act (TIPA), effective July 1, 2025, gives Tennessee consumers rights over their personal information, including access, correction, deletion, a copy of their data, and opting out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. TIPA applies to larger businesses that meet its size and revenue thresholds. Whether or not it applies to us, we will honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your information, and we do not sell personal information.
12. How to make a request
Email Team@FireflyAnythingTech.com or call (615) 645-3473 with "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like. To protect you, we may need to verify your identity, for example by confirming the phone number or address on your account. We'll respond within 45 days. If you disagree with our response, you may reply to ask us to reconsider.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes, we may also let you know by email or text.
